(1) Dear Alice, Re: Thinks about killing others and self I had a boyfriend with the same problem who rationalized murder. In his mind, everyone's fate was predestined by god and so if he killed that person, it was meant to be. He also wanted to kill himself and succeeded. I only knew him for a short time, but knew that something horrible had happened to him. He put up a good front and refused to talk about his past. It was after he killed himself that I started to find out what he had endured as a child. Even with his homicidal/suicidal tendencies, he was one of the most caring people I had ever met, and he left a lot of people grieving. I believe that because he was so kind and giving, he felt pain more then most others and couldn't stand it any longer. Please get help, lots of people love you and you are probably a very good person that the world would truly miss.
[back to top] To the Reader: I agree that many people have these thoughts. Think about what your chances are of you personally acting them out. And think of why you think them and how you feel WHEN you think them, not how you feel guilty after but how are you feeling as they are occuring... Maybe you need the adrenaline and nothing else seems to work... maybe if you don't wanna confront anyone, read up on psychology etc... Be the help you need for yourself! Just suggestions... and you know more than anyone, don't look at the statistics, but how likely are YOU to act out YOUR thoughts? It's all you. But if you feel inequiped, online help is less personal or really helps... either/or. Good luck!
